How to Join the Library
Membership is open to persons of any age, and is free to all residents of
Goulburn Mulwaree and Upper Lachlan Council areas. Potential members need
to provide identification showing their current residential address.
The library requires persons under the age of 18 to have a guarantor. A
guarantor is a parent or guardian over 18 who is prepared to take
responsibility for items borrowed, which may become lost or damaged. The
guarantor needs to provide identification showing their current
residential address, and co-sign the application form for the person
wishing to become a member.
To become a member of the library please bring proof of your
CURRENT name & address as a
resident/ratepayer of either Goulburn Mulwaree
or Upper Lachlan Shire Council.
Proof of name & address to be in the form of ONE of
Current NSW Driver's Licence
Council Rates or Water Notice
Residential Tenancy Agreement
Commonwealth or State Electoral Card
NSW Photo ID Card
Parent or Guardian's Library Membership (for under 18s only)
Or TWO of the following:
Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card
Centrelink Health Care Card
2 x Official rent receipts from Real Estate Agent
Letter from your employer in our LGA
Letter from your School/Education Institution in our LGA

Print the Application Form below, complete the details and visit
Goulburn Mulwaree Library. Remember to bring your identification
If you do not meet the conditions listed above you may be eligible for
either Reciprocal Membership or Temporary Membership
Application for Library membership requires you to provide 'personal
information' as defined in the Privacy and Personal Information
Protection Act 1998. The Library needs this information so that it can
process your membership application in order to provide Library services.
The supply of this information is voluntary, however without membership
some services will not be available.
This information will only be used within Goulburn Mulwaree or Upper
Lachlan Councils, unless the library needs to use or disclose your
personal information for law enforcement purposes or if otherwise
required by law.
The Library is required to collect and retain this information and to
record that documentation, supporting your application, where relevant
identification, has been sighted. You have the right to request access to
and/or correct any personal information concerning you held by the
